Garden of Go, Grow, and Glow Foods(G4)
GO (energy giving) foods which include rootcrops such as camote, cassave, banana
GROW (body building) foods which include legumes such as peanuts, mongoes, beans
GLOW (regulating) foods which include vegetables and fruits such as ampalaya, malunggay, kangkong, papaya, etc.

Objectives:
- To promote G4 program and recognize outstanding barangays
- To have adequate nutritious food at the household level
- To assist indigent families in backyard and communal gardening
- To promote technology transfer and adoption of Bio Intensive Gardening, simple food preparation and processing at the local level
- To encourage Garden sa Lata, Garden sa Paso and other recycled containers as well as utilization of vacant lots as communal gardens
- To promote G4 program as effective instrument in empowering poor communities
Malaybalay City
Malaybalay City’s Local Chief Executive and Social Welfare & Development Officer Receive Award
Mayor Florencio T. Flores, Jr. of the City of Malaybalay was recently awarded as one of the Outstanding LCE of the Philippines 2005 for his leadership and support to the programs and projects for the welfare of all sectors of society especially those needing more assistance among its constituents.
Malaybalay City Receives Sandugo Award
The City Government of Malaybalay received a National Sandugo Award, so as the Barangay Apo Macote, Kulaman & Cabucaranan as Regional Barangay awardees.
City of Malaybalay Receives Nutrition Honor Award
The City Government of Malaybalay through the City Nutrition Section has been successful in reducing malnutrition in the City. This in an effect of efficient planning and management of the Nutrition program of the city which led to the reduction of the prevalence of malnutrition among preschool and school children.
The Nutrition Honor Award is the highest award given by the Nutrition Council to LGUs who are third time recipient of the CROWN award. The City of Malaybalay have for the past three years, consistently shown outstanding performance and efforts on the implementation of local nutrition improvement program.
